Dear Lumberjacks,

As the 2024-25 school year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible journey we've shared and look forward to the exciting milestones ahead. The energy and spirit within the walls of Wausau East have been truly remarkable, and I am immensely proud of each and every one of you. I am proud to be a Lumberjack!

For our graduating seniors, your last day of classes will be Thursday, May 22. This marks a significant chapter closing, and we look forward to celebrating your achievements at our 2025 Wausau East Graduation Ceremony on Saturday, May 31, at 3:00 p.m. in the Wausau East Gymnasium. We can't wait to see all that you accomplish in the future and to carry Lumberjack Pride forward!

This spring has been filled with multiple activities and noteworthy achievements across our school. We celebrated with our boys basketball team during their state run, our IB students are currently testing and demonstrating their dedication and hard work, and our clubs/activities are bursting with engagement.

C.A.F.E. will continue to be a hub of creativity and innovation, showcasing our students’ amazing talents, during our annual Cultural Arts Festival at East. C.A.F.E. will be held on Wednesday, May 14, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Our spring athletic teams have also showcased their talent, with multiple school records being broken – a testament to our student-athletes’ dedication and perseverance.

The halls have also been alive with the sounds of the music department. We were particularly thrilled with the tremendous success of our recent musical, which received rave reviews and highlighted the incredible artistic talent within our student body. Also, our musical performances have been outstanding.

As we navigate these final weeks, I encourage each of you to continue to carry yourselves with Respect, Integrity, Compassion, and Excellence (R.I.C.E.) – our Wausau East Core Values. These principles are not just words; they are the foundation of our community and the qualities that will serve you well in all your future endeavors.

Students, we see you, we hear you, and we are so proud of you! Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and the positive contributions you bring to Wausau East High School each day. Also, thank you to all of our Eastside community for your support and Lumberjack Pride. I wish you all a strong finish to the year and a safe and enjoyable summer.
